I haven’t been able to update my blog for a while due to an incredibly hectic schedule (friends and family will attest to this, I’ve not shut up about how busy I’ve been, sorry guys) – but i’ve got a bit of spare time now for me to breathe and to post some of my recent wedding photography jobs online!
A few weeks ago I shot a wedding party (the couple got married in Turkey a few weeks previous, the venue looked amazing!) for Darren and Sally, and what a brilliant party it was too. For those who weren’t lucky enough to make it to their Turkish delight, a party to end all parties was laid on in Salford, with lots of food, fun and enough booze to sink a battle-ship! The guests were incredibly friendly, the couple were incredibly patient and generous, and the whole night went swimmingly – a job well done from all ends.
The couple wanted a reportage style set of photographs, from the bridal preparations through to the first dance and beyond – with a few formal photographs to show the grandchildren in later years – underpinned by some details of what made their day so special – so it was right up my ‘wedding photography street’ style-wise. The evening started with torrential rain so I was loaded up with brollies and ideas for a rain-soaked affair, but someone above must have been smiling on us as just as we went to leave for the venue the clouds parted and the sun made an appearance. It’s a good job in all fairness as the Bride and groom (unbeknownst to them!) had a horse and carriage laid on for them!!
All in all it was a lovely evening – and I hope you enjoy the pick of photographs i’ve chosen for the blog as much as the Bride and Groom have.
Oh, and i’ve added a new widget thingamy-jigamy to my blog so that my photos are much easier to view and browse, just click on the first wedding photo and click the little arrows to move left or right.
