A trip down bokeh lane – Chinatown in manchester

I took a trip into Chinatown in Manchester yesterday evening, took the 50mm lens out for a run as i hadn’t used it much since i bought it – and to check out some good locations for portraits. The neon lights lend themselves well to some pretty out-of-focus ‘bokeh’ backgrounds, and the reds and blues of the street lights are perfect for night-time street photography!

It can be a little nerve-wracking pointing your camera at and around people on the street, but it’s character building!
